After speaking with Jamie, and thinking some more, I have come to the decision that I think this piece portrays more of an Ethos mode of appeal. Ethos displays a credible source, and in this illustration, U.S. MAIL is a credible source signifying that her mail will get to whomever safely. Although her body language, the expression on the face, and the way she is facing, I still think the U.S. MAIL is more of a prominent visual.
